Depends in which country you live. It would be a long process I guess. Here in Australia there are many laws and regulations you have to abide by. It might be an idea just to start minding children in your own home. Here in Oz you have to have all sorts of checks do several courses and sit exams, assignments .To be in charge you must go to university and get a diploma on Childrens Services which take several years. Check you local, state (county) and federal regulations on setting up a child care centre
anyway good luck pp
I have an in home center that holds 8 infants, I never take more than six and I form close personal relationships with the mother of these kids, I am straightforwad and honest and I am truly interested in getting to know the details of their kids lives so I can relate to them.
I have a firm contract and I enforce the rules, I also m ake sure to schedule enough time off for myself… very important to not get burned out.
Try to have a backup person who can help you a couple of hours a week… if you are talking about a huge daycare center, then make sure you are fully prepared with a seriously detailed business plan.
Finally, one thing you can do that is really cheap and will work wonders is offer a webcam website that is password accessible that view into the main playroom so they can get on the computer and check on their kid at anytime during the day, they will flock to you and you will make $200 per week per kid, I make 1200 per week ![]()
Good Luck
